Campaign Save Problems

Hi,
A few things.
• When creating a campaign, there are two Save buttons; one is next to the Preview button and the other Save button is smaller and above that. Is one supposed to act as the Apply button in Joomla? They aren't working as I would expect them to since when I click either I am taken to the window that will allow me to send the email; that is neither let's me save my changes and keeps me in the same page.
• If after I've saved an email and I go Campaigns>Select "Saved" from the drop down, then I get me list of saved campaigns. If I select a campaign and click Edit, make changes and then click either Save button, nothing is saved.
If on the other hand I go Dashboard>Select campaign and click Edit, any changes I make are saved.
• Sometimes things run real real slow and I'll have to refresh the window and loose any work I was attempting to enter.
• Sometimes I'll click the Save next to Preview and I get a message popup that warns me that if I nav away from the page I'll loose data and to click cancel to stay on the page. I click cancel and the window locks up and I have to refresh, then navigate away from that page (maybe to another component, just somewhere in the backend), go back to my campaign and then I can edit it again

Hi Herb,

1.) You are right, there is no apply button. After you press save you are taken to the send view because that's the usual workflow when creating a new campaign.

2.) This will be fixed in the next version (1.5.2).

3.) On which pages specifically?

4.) Which browser are you using? Actually that warning is commented out. However it will be entirely removed as of v1.5.2

1. I like to save often, even before I move to another tab so an Apply button would be cool.
2. I'm going to install 1.5.2 and I'll post back with what I find.
3. On the Campaign edit pages and as an FYI, the largest list I currently have installed is only 53 addresses (test)
4. Using FireFox. From a usability standpoint it is confusing if one is thinking that the Save button next to Preview is functionally equivalent with Apply.
After I use the latest ver. I'll post back with any more observations/comments. Thanks again for your working on this extension as it is going to make an excellent contribution to Joomla functionality.

Hi Pete,
I installed 1.5.2 on a virgin install of Joomla that is in a sub directory off web root. Joomailer is the only extension installed.
When I click Save after filling in all the Campaign info, I get the white screen of death
If I click View Source nothing shows up in source view.
If I click Source Chart (a great extension for FF) I get the following:
(I have to modify the script tags the system won't let me post) I really hope we can get this going since this extension is exactly what I need for this project. If you need a login let me know.

I've got a brand new Joomla install, just downloaded and installed component tonight, and when I try to save a campaign I get this error:

Fatal error: Class 'JFile' not found in /home/xxxx/xxxxx.com/new/administrator/components/com_joomailermailchimpintegration/controllers/create.php on line 23

Hello jimmy,

Please edit the file administrator/components/com_joomailermailchimpintegration/controllers/create.php and add this in line 20:

jimport('joomla.filesystem.file');

This has already been fixed in the next (currently unreleased) version 1.5.2

I am having the same issue, only when I click to save my campaign, it never saves. Also, I tried cheating and making a campaign in Mail Chimp's administration panel, and it won't import. The lists carry over from administration panels fine and they change instantly, but the campaigns never work. I get a 500 - Internal Server Error when running this. I have all of the options installed on your website and below are my stats. I will give you a login if that would aid in fixing the problem.
