Sign-up Module for Group Instead of List

Is it possible to link my sign-up module to a sub-group within my MailChimp list, instead of directly to the main list? I can only find an ID (to be referenced in my sign-up module) for my main list, and cannot locate an ID for any groups within that list.

I contacted Mailchimp and they indicated that the groups do have an ID, but the didn't tell me where or how to find it.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

Hello dmason,

When you open the module configuration in the module manager you see a dropdown list called "Interests". This is what MailChimp calls "Interest groups". You can create interest groups either in MailChimp's webinterface or in joomailer by going to "Lists" and then click on the "Manage" link in the "Groups" column.

Kind regards,
Pete

I realise this is an old thread, but I've got the same question, and the original response doesn't answer it.

I (and the poster of the original question) want to know if it's possible to link a sign-up form to a specific group. I've got a list with two groups: I want a sign-up form that adds subscribers to a pre-determined group (I don't want to display any options).

I can't see any way of doing this with the sign-up module. Hopefully I'm wrong. If so, can somebody please point me in the right direction.

Thanks
