I love this module, but it seems to be working sporadically. It has worked great at times, and at other times the progress wheel just spins endlessly.

Any ideas why this might be? Here's my site www.donnellyadvisors.com

Thanks,

Hey there. Sorry for the delay. I've already checked out your site but didn't find the reason why it wouldn't work. However, now after taking another look at it I might have found something.

It works when you open the site without www. That means you have probably set the variable 'live_site' in your configuration.php file. This var should be empty (two quotes with nothing in between).

Please give that a try and get back to me.

Also, what we use on every site we build is this plugin: extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-ma.../seo-a-metadata/5355 It redirects non-www requests to the www domain or vice versa. This avoids to have duplicate contents which improves search engine rankings.

Kind regards,
Pete

Hello,

Thanks for SEO Canonicalisation plugin tip. Sign-up module is not working on webtotem.net; progress wheel keeps spinning endlessly. SEO Canonicalisation plugin was added and var $live_site = ' '; in configuration.php. Help is greatly appreciated.

Best,
Amir

Hello Amir,

The ajax call returns "500 internal server error". Do you have access to the error logs? If so please submit the signup form and then check the error log. Let me know the last few messages in there.

Kind regards,
Pete

Hi Pete. The messages from error log are:

File does not exist: /home/webtotem/public_html/500.shtml
SoftException in Application.cpp:601: Directory "/home/webtotem/public_html/modules" is writeable by group

Other logs refer to 404.shtml and favicon.ico. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Amir
