No Sign-up module and plugin...

After a fresh install of Joomlamailer and successful insert of API key, Signup module and plugin do not show respectively in module list and plugin list. Sorry if you've answered this issue in a previous post. Can you help me?

joomlamailer version: v1.6.1
Joomla! version: 1.5.23
PHP version: 5.3.5
MySQL version: 5.5.8

Hello Moulouk,

Sounds like the installation process was interrupted or otherwise not completed. Please install the component again without uninstalling the previous version before. During the installation press the "Upgrade" button. After you've done that all modules and plugins should be installed.
That's also a good chance to upgrade to the latest version (1.7)

I tried as you advised and now I get this info message: Table 'ps_db.n8xiq_joomailermailchimpsignup' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW COLUMNS FROM n8xiq_joomailermailchimpsignup

I still do not see the Signup plugin and module.

There must be something going wrong during the installation. Can you send me a superadmin login and access to phpmyadmin? Then I could take a look why it doesn't work.

I have the same problem during the installation: Table 'test.n8xiq_joomailermailchimpsignup' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW COLUMNS FROM n8xiq_joomailermailchimpsignup.

Can someone halp me??

What MySQL version are you using?
Have you tried to install the joomlamailer component again? You don't need to uninstall the old version before. Just select upgrade during the installation.

Same problem here with latest version install. When I looked at the archive there do not seem to be any modules or plugins included in the installer, only component/admin stuff.

Furthermore when I try to save anything I get the following

Note I was never presented with a 'do you want to install or upgrade' option.

Aha found the answer - disable temporarily akeeba restore points and it works )

For those like me who go searching in the Akeeba Backup configuration...it's not there because it is a *plugin*.

But... I unpublished it and still got this error:
Newsletter component upgrade failed: Table 'xxxxx.n8xiq_joomailermailchimpintegration' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW COLUMNS FROM n8xiq_joomailermailchimpintegration

Any idea why? What should I do next to avoid further problems?
