Just installed this great component a few days ago (v. 1.2.1) and today I upgraded to version 1.3 and hoped to get the subscription module announced on the site. (but couldn't find it).
In my search for a way to allow registered users to manage their subscriptions I found out that I could just add the plugin to a menu item and presto ;)
I can see the list name and subscribe/unsubscribe just fine, but I cannot see the groups for the list even though I can see them on the plugin item itself.
I cannot tell if it was working before sice I did not try this until version 1.3.
It tried to re-add the list to the plugin and save, event remade the menu items, but still no luck - Please help...

Best regards,
Theis

Hello Theis,

We had to postpone the signup module to version 1.3.1 (which is currently the latest release) . The module will be installed along with the Joomailer package.

You are right. The Interest groups and merge fields have not been implemented into the manage subscriptions page. This will be part of one of the next releases.

Kind regards,
Pete

Hi Pete,

Thanks for your reply.

I just tried the Super Duper Signup module in version 1.3.1 (wow, you guys work fast ;)

Anyway, the groups works just fine, but I found that I need to include the email input field to get it to work. Is it possible to make a template override to hide the email input so it will use the email from the joomla user database?
And would it be possible to just add the user when clicking "subscribe" (no double-opt) like the manage subscriptions page?

Again, thanks for a great component ;)

Best regards,
Theis

Hi Theis,

you can also have your users change their preferences for their newsletters on the default joomla member profile page. If you create a menu item for registered users to access that page, they will be able to change merge fields and interest groups.

Hi Alexis,

I sync my users from an external db and injecting them into joomla - so to keep users data in sync I've excluded access to joomla's default profile page.

Best regards,
Theis
