Change MailChimp Account?

Change MailChimp Account? was created by mcobble
Looking for a little direction.
My company has been using MailChimp for a while for handling mass mailings. When my boss initially set up the account, he included his side-business in the business MailChimp account. He has recently moved the side-business into it's own account, and asked me to re-link, so the newsletter signup goes to the new account.
The problem I'm coming across is I can't find a way to disconnect the company account to connect his personal. When I click the 'Account Settings' button, I just get a blank white pop-up. Unfortunately, it's an older site, and some of the components are out of date (joomlamailer itself is v1.7.2, running on Joomla 1.5.22.)
I'd rather not turn this into an ordeal of running updates just to connect the new account - is there a way to switch accounts that I'm missing? Or do I need to run updates to get this moving?

Hello mcobble,
On the Joomlamailer dashboard you press the Options button (or Parameters) in the toolbar. In the options you have to replace the API key with an API key of the new MailChimp account.
You might have to clear the cache in order for the correct subscriber lists to show up.
Please note that you also have to update the settings of the signup module and plugin (if you are using them) and select a new subscriber list.
The Account Settings button is no longer working as MailChimp does not allow to open their page within an iframe on another page. In the current version this button just opens a new tab with the MailChimp.com account page.
On a side note I would like to encourage you strongly to update the site to Joomla 3. Joomla 1.5 reached it's end of life in September 2012 and is no longer receiving security fixes. Your page is highly unsecure as you are not even running the latest 1.5 version (being 1.5.26).
Best regards,
Peter
