Cannot save campaign if using JCE Editor

There is a serious conflict between JCE editor and the latest version of JoomlaMailer. If JCE is the default editor in your global configuration, it WILL NOT save the current campaign. Even if you exclude JoomlaMailer in JCE editor Profiles, it still will not save your campaign. You must change the default text editor to TinyMCE in global configuration for JoomlaMailer to save your campaign and work. This is a new bug introduced into the latest version of JoomlaMailer. Hopefully the two organizations can work out the conflict or someone can tell us how to make both of them work together harmoniously.

I'm having the same problem with version 2.0.8 and Joomla 2.5.27. Looking at the console in Chrome on the site I'm working with the problem seems to be an issue with the call to the language file, as it's looking for /langs/en.js in a folder called 'undefined' in the administrator folder (administrator/undefined/langs/en.js). So far I've not been able to figure out where this call is being created, but wondered if this info might help others with this problem.

Hi kazbryan,

Joomlamailer is always using TinyMCE regardless of which editor is set in the Joomla configuration. Please make sure the TinyMCE editor plugin is enabled. I think this should fix the problem you are describing. If the problem persists please get back to me.

Kind regards,
Pete

Hi Pete,

The TinyMCE editor plugin is enabled. The component works fine if I have that set as the default editor for the site, but not if I have JCE set as the default editor.

Regards,
Karen

Hello Karen,

In my tests it was working fine with JCE set as default editor. I will look into it again to find out what might be causing this problem. Which version of JCE are you using and do you have any JCE add-ons installed?

Kind regards,
Pete
