Cannot install core component was created by dayron
joomlamailer version: 1.7.2
Joomla 2.5.7
MySQL - 5.0.95-community
PHP - 5.2.17
Hello. I have tried to install the Joomlamailer extension to my Joomla site and have been unsuccessful. Please help.
When I go to extension manager and select the package file to upload and install I get 2 error messages:
The first in red “Component Install: DB function reports no errors”.
The second just below it in blue “Error installing component”.
The component is listed in the Components dropdown as “jm-newsletter” and it has 3 sub menus. However clicking any of them results in “404 – an error has occurred. Component not found”.
Extension manager lists “JoomailerMailchimpIntegration” and it is enabled. However if I try to remove it I’m met with several “Path is not a folder” and “Cannot find XML” errors. I have to enter phpMyadmin and delete it manually for it not to be listed anymore.
I am building a new site so I have set the required directories for most component installs to 777 and have had no issue installing other components. This is the only one. Please advise other permission changes that may be required.
