API seems to be wrong was created by Herr Stern
joomlamailer version: 1.7.2
Joomla! version: 1.6.3.
PHP version: 5.3.
MySQL version: 5.1
i tried a couple of generated APIs but all of these seems to be wrong... i copy / paste them and can not activate them. at mailchimp i can see, that they all are correct and not in use. so - whats the problem.
the API looks like this...... xxxxxxxxxxxxx(...)-us2
would be fine to get a help.
furthermore - is it possible to install joomlamailer with joomla 1.7 ? i tired it on a other site but the component is not working there... no correct installation. would be fine to get the component for joomla 1.7.
thank you

I had to click on options and enter my API there. Then it worked.

Hello Capt.Harlock,
I'm glad you figured it out. Joomlamailer is compatible with Joomla 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7. What was not working in your case? Did you get some kind of error message?
Kind regards,
Pete

Hi ya. No, I didn't get an error message. I copied and pasted my API in th text area (which is centered - and I thought that was something odd so I kept trying to make it sit left) but when I clicked enter it kept returning me to the same screen. When I clicked 'option' my API was already there but clicking 'save' there then took me to the next window. I'm using Joomla 1.6.6
Since then all looks very good although I to need to make a mailing list first so I don't get the other errors others have mentioned.
Altogether great job.
Andy
