Questions for general use

hi I havent bought the plugin, but a very close to do so, but I have some questions first.

At first let me explain my project: I'm an admin for several artists on Facebook and other pages where the fans can subscribe to the artists own lists (normal use). Now I'm creating one big community where all of our artists will have their own page and where a lot of events will happen. I want my users (the fans) to create a profile and have the ability both in registration (Jomsocial) to click on an artist so subscribe to his/her mailinglist. Can this be dine without sending any confirmation-mails (will Mailchimp send out 20 different mails if the users sign up on all lists?).

Further what happens if the users has subscribed (or unsubscribed) from Facebook, will the extension know this and mark the artist as subscribed (when using the same emailaddress as a user or what happens if this happens (which it will).

I'm not in need of sending any emails from within Joomla, but just need control from Joomla/JomSocial so its easy for the users to manage their accounts for the different artists in registration and at their JomSocial profile.

Does Joomlamailer suit me?

Just testing it... It seems it cannot present more than one list in signup? What if I have a list for every artist?

You can only use one list. For your purpose I would recommend to create an Interest Group which contains all artists as options. Then your subscribers can select via checkboxes the artists they are interested in. When sending a campaign you can use that interest group as segmentation option to send only to subscribers, which have selected specific artists.

When a user is removed from the MailChimp list, this will be reflected in joomlamailer. The email address is the unique identifier.
