The API Key you entered seems to be incorrect! was created by efaithdemo
I have recently installed Joomlamailer 1.7.2 on my Joomla 1.5.23 Installation w/ Khepri Joomla Template- I also have the following components currently installed:
JomSocial 2.2.2 – Social Network Component
RegReminder 1.5.2.8 – Sends user registration and period of inactivity reminders
Joomdle 0.53 – Connects Moodle and Joomla together for LMS options
SermonSpeaker 3.3 – Plays Audio files
VirtueMart 1.1.9 – Ecommerce package
PHP version: 5.3.5
MySQL version: 5.1.56
I am currently getting the error "The API Key you entered seems to be incorrect!" - I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Joomlamailer at least 3 times. - I have uninstalled and reinstalled Joomla 1.5.23 a couple times and still no progress.
I have tried replacing the code in the MCAPI.class.php even though in the joomlamailer forum it was said that this update would be already taken care of in 1.7.2. I have validated my server is able to communicate with api.mailchimp.com as well as us2.api.mailchimp.com/1.2/ and 1.3 and curl and fopen are working…still no luck.
I have created a few different mailchimp API keys as well as created a few different mailchimp accounts and still nothing! I’ve researched the mailchimp site and made sure that all their IP addresses are whitelisted on our server.
At this point I have exhausted all possiblities and have absolutely no clue what else to do! Any Help would be greatly appriciated!

Hello efaithdemo,
You are right, the MCAPI.class.php fix you're referring to is already included in the latest version 1.7.2. It must be something else causing this error on your site.
Please send me a superadmin login and ftp credentials to your site and I'll look into it. pete@freakedout.de
Kind regards,
Pete

Hello Pete,
Thanks for the Prompt response
After digging a little deeper our engineers found that even though we had allowed all the Mailchimp sites and IP's access - our firewall was still causing the issue and after a few more tweaks we were able to get it to connect!
However, now that I am authenticated - Im attempting to setup my "Lists" and I'm receiving a new error:
Calendar.setup:
Nothing to setup (no fields found). Please check your code.
I have tried this with IE 9 as well as Firefox and the same problem... any thoughts?? See image below!

Pete,
Again... my issue sorry to keep bothering... I just logged into mailchimp directly and created my first list there...after doing so it resolved the issue with Joomlamailer....so my recommendation to everyone that is receiving that error do you initial setup of your campaigns and lists directly in mailchimp and once that is complete you can maintain and manage them from that point forward in Joomlamailer!
Regards,
eFaith

Hello eFaith,
I'm glad everything is sorted now. Thanks for keeping me updated. I wasn't aware that the calendar error had to do with no list being set up. I'll look into it to implement some error handling if that is the case.
However, you have to create your lists directly in MailChimp anyway since creating lists is not supported via the API. Everything else like adding and removing subscribers can be done in joomlamailer of course.
Campaigns which are created directly in MailChimp are not available in joomlamailer! If you want to manage your campaign in joomlamailer you have to create it there as well.
Kind regards,
Pete
