Hi,
is it possible to FTP upload a weekly menu card to the webspace and send a weekly newsletter with the menu card appended ?
It should be very simple to handle because my customer should be able to do this autonomous.
Thanks.
Greetings Kai

Hello Kai,
The component is free so "presale" doesn't actually fit
In which format would that menu card be? If it's an image, you can include that image in the newsletter. When you replace the image on your server (via ftp) and send the newsletter again (by copying it), the new image will be used.
Kind regards,
Pete

Hi Pete,
thanks for your reply.
My customer creates the menu card with Microsoft Word. So the document type is .doc or maybe .pdf
With a simple button on his desktop the document is going to be FTP uploaded to his webspace.
Then an automated newsletter script should send autonomous each week the newsletter with menu card appended to a list of subscribers.
Do you think this would be possible with JoomlaMailer ?
Thanks.
Greetings
Kai

Hello Kai,
You can't attach a file to a MailChimp campaign. However, you can put a download link into the campaign pointing to the file. If the filename stays always the same all you'd have to do in the future is replicate the previous campaign and send it off.
I'm not aware of any automatic scripts doing that so you'd still have to login to joomlamailer to replicate the campaign, verify that everything is correct and send it off.
Kind regards,
Pete
