401 error and password protected was created by kay00004
Hi there,
I met the 401 error when send test mail. From old post of forum, I found the reason is that site should disable its password protected in .htaccess. It is not safe when discard it. So is there a way to keep password protected and can send mail? Maybe change the Archive folder to front-end? (only go to back-end should password)
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Kay

Hello Kay,
We're finishing up the next release in which you can edit the archive directory path in the parameters. This allows you to use any folder within your Joomla root directory.
Kind regards,
Pete

Many thanks for your kindly reply, and now I use .htaccess to make only that path be access without any password.
