Can hyperlinks in messages link to something different then backend?

I am facing some difficulties with hyperlinks in my template, they are all preceded with the url of the backend of my website.
For instance:
I include a link in the template to move back to the top of a newsletter "Back to top" with a link
This is a link to a anchor at the top of the template
When I send the message the link is translated into
It looks like the component prepends all links with a link to the template. Also other links in my messages are prepended with this.
For instance:

It looks like the component prepends all links with a link to the template. Also other links in my messages are prepended with this.

is #top which I presume scrolls back up to the top page even supported within newsletters, I have never seen it?

Hi adminbe,
Thanks for the link, it is a nice overview of the challenging world of email newsletters
This type of anchor link is indeed supported in quite a lot of email clients (and not supported in others). I try to take care of all the differences in email clients, too bad Joomailer cannot handle anchors that are set in the template like Mailchimp can.
