API version and Joomla 1.6 compatibility was created by dalogar
Well, my questions are simple as you can expect from the subject:
1 - Will Joomailer use 1.3 API version soon in the future. AFAIK, Joomalier uses 1.2 version of the Mailchimp API, and it uses some deprecated functions.
2 - Will Joomailer be compatible with Joomla 1.6? As it will be released soon, I think it is important to know this.
Regards

Hello dagolar,
You're right that Joomailer is currently using the API version 1.2, however we're not using methods that were deprecated in 1.2. We'll upgrade to 1.3 soon but please bear with us as this is a lot of work.
Currently Joomailer is not 1.6 compatible. We will release a 1.6 version but we have prioritized other fixes higher (like adapting the MailChimp API 1.3 for example), so there might be a delay between the release of Joomla 1.6.0 (which is planned for Jan 10th 2011) and Joomailer for 1.6.
Kind regards,
Pete
