adding users manually to groups

I don't understand how to manually add users to groups. Our list is already in the system, based on the Joomla! users, and we don't need people to sign up again. We want to segment the list so that some people get additional newsletters (yes, they have opted in). What is the best way to do this?

After you have set up Fields or Groups on the Joomailer Lists page you can go to 'Add users to lists' and add your Joomla users to your lists. If the users are already in the selected list Joomailer will update their fields and groups instead of adding them again.

Hello tracysanz,
The users all stay in the same list. Groups are actually "Interest groups", which means each user in the list can have a different setting. For example you could have a group "favorite fruit" where users can choose between apples, bananas and strawberries. They would still all reside in the same subscriber list but have a different interest group. These can then be used when sending a campaign in the Segmentation options to select only those users whose favorite fruit is bananas for example.
Kind regards,
Pete

|Pete, and tracysanz
I believe what tracysanz is asking is how to manually add people to the list who are not Joomla users, to answer this,
I don't believe you can add people manually to a list directly through the Joomailer solution, you need to login to your mail chimp account direct, go to lists and add people there. Then once you go back to the Joomailer solution the list will snyc.
Cheers
