Hi Everyone,
I gave joomailer and chimpmail a test drive today and wanted to ask a few questions
on the Content tab (for Newsletter:create)
i was unable to search for the content i wanted to add.
there is no option to filter by section or category and the filter itself does not seem to work (i am using 1.0.8 - although the file is called 1.0.9+ chrome + JCE editor - if you really want to know). every time i filter or select a different page it bounces back to the Main settings tab.
what about autorespnders and scheduled autoresponders? is there no support for them through the extension? i saw you can set the time you send the message but what about "send mail 3 days after they subscribe" and "30 days before the event"
Thanks,

Hi Spektory,
Are you certain you are using the latest version? I just went in and tested the filter again and it works for me. As for the category and section filter, that is still something we are working on to improve, that's why these options aren't implemented in the public version yet. After you filter something and add an article you also can't use the filter to search for something else. We are still looking for a solution to that.
As for the jumping to the mainscreen issue, that is something that will be fixed in version 1.0.10
I also suggest you don't use JCE for creating your intro text, as it is one of the known issues (see postit top right of the forum) and breaks links when creating them.
Autoresponders are part of our roadmap. A blogpost about this will be coming in the next few days in which we outline all planned features for September and October.
Also if these features seem to be so "simple", feel free to submit code which we can include.
Cheers,
Alexis

Thanks Alexis,
yes i have downloaded the latest version a few days ago.
i guess it is all a question of expectation. i read "almost never need to go back and configure mailchimp" and i thought it was an all inclusive component.
i didn't mean implementing it was simple sorry about that :-> i meant that, for me, it seemed like a "basic" feature (for example i use Acajoom and i have that option so i expected to have it here too) again, just a question of expectations reading from the feature list of what Joomailer can do.
from what i understand from your post Joomailer is (still) not what i am looking for...oh well...
Good luck with the road map
