Joomla! version:1.5
PHP version:
MySQL version:
I would like to create a template in MailChimp using their template editors and then export that template so I can use it with Joomlamailer. I tried to export a template from Mailchimp which give me a HTML file. But I have to upload a zipped file to Joomlamailer. I don't quite understand how to get a new template into Joomlamailer.
Thanks,
Neil.

Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction here regarding Joomlamailer template design. It all makes more sense to me now.
I have one other question which is a little off topic here:
Q: How do I remove 'Saved Campigns'? I created a few test campaigns and now want to delete them but it doesn't appear that I can.
Many thanks again for your help.
Neil.

To delete saved campaigns click on "Campaigns" in the top menu, then select "saved" in the status dropdown list.

I downloaded one of the Joomlamailer templates from my Joomla site and ad a look at the files. There are images and two html files. In both the index.html and template.html file I only see this coding:
/home/orabanda/public_html/administrator/components/com_joomailermailchimpintegration/templates/jleftcolumn/template.html
There is no other html formatting for me to look at in terms of table structure or tags used etc so I'm still stuck as where to start designing a template or infact editing the existing templates that come with Joomlamailer. For the time being I am using Mail Chimp directly for creating templates and mailing out.
I'd really like to create/edit my own template so I can send using Joomlamailer in the backend of my site. Have you got a simple dummies instruction guide for making templates for Joomlamailer please. I'm sure other people would find it very useful too.
Many thanks for your help,
Neil.

Anyway, I have updated the links and changed the colours and it's all looking good so great stuff. Very happy with that.
I guess for my wish list in regards to editing a campaign/newletter I'd like to be able to use the JCE Editor for importing images and styling text etc. Just what I'm used to I guess.
I'm going to play around with this a lot more and develop a template of my own.
Cheers,
Neil.

If you want to download one of the templates to tweak the design to suit your business you can download using File Manager if you're using cPanel or an FTP program. Either way you need to navigate to this folder to make the changes to a template.
Using FTP or File Manager go to:
public_html / administrator / components / com_joomlamailchimpintegration / templates / jleftcolumn
I am looking at jleftcolumn as an examples here.
Open the jleftcolumn folder and download all of the files to a folder on your desktop. Call the desktop folder 'mydesign'.
Make the edits and changes to the template.html and add your images etc
When finished upload the folder 'mydesign' to the templates folder:
public_html / administrator / components / com_joomlamailchimpintegration / templates
You will now be able to see you template in the list to choose from in Joomlamailer.
I have found this is the best way of downloading and uploading to a hosting server.
Thanks,
Neil.

The hole com_joomailermailchimpintegration directory have the following permissions: drwxr-xr-x which I can't seem to change. Joomla mailer is the only directory which I can't write to or chance permissions.
What to do?
