I can't figure out how to get the button to work. Nothing happens when you click on it.

There is probably a javascript error from another extension on your site causing the signup module's javascript to fail. If you pst a link to your site I can take a look at it for you.

Kind regards,
Pete

Yep

My subscribe button is not subscribin. When you hover you see homepage url. When you click subscribe, error on page show's up on bottom and does nothing.

Let me know if you have a fix for this, please.

:-)

Then, I figured I would deactivate the plugin till I remedy the problem. Bad idea! Now I have lost access to my administrator page. Thisis what shows up:

MailChimp Stats

Fatal error: Class 'JFile' not found in /home/content/08/7166408/html/rabbitcom/administrator/modules/mod_mailchimpstats/mod_mailchimpstats.php on line 19

Hello ICandy,

When you submit the signup module, does it show a success message? I dont think it has to do with the temporary IP. It should work as long as your server can connect to the internet.
Can you post or mail a link to your site? pete@freakedout.de
About the registration form, I'd need to take a look at the site and the backend. I think it has to do with the template you are using. To be able to fix it I would need ftp access as well.

Kind regards,
Pete

Hi Pete,

I'm having the same issue - the subscribe button does nothing and this is due to a Javascript error. in your script that begins with $('mcsignupSubmit2135').addEvent('click', function(){....
I get this error in Chrome "Uncaught TypeError: Object # <an Object> has no method 'addEvent'

I thought it had to do with the version of the mootools.js that is currently included with my Joomla installation and so I upgraded to the newer version 1.2.4 which does have the .addEvent function and IT STILL DOES NOT work.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? Are you using mootools js or prototype? I know addEvent is not in jQuery...

thanks

Grace

Hello Grace,
The signup module needs mootools 1.1 Please revert the file to the original version included in the joomla packages.
The error means that the mootools library isn't loaded properly. It might be your template which unloads the mootools library. Which one are you using?

Kind regards,
Pete

Solved - I hadn't selected email etc in the module configuration! Now working perfectly! I should have read all the other threads first...

Same problem - clicking the sign up button does nothing. I'm using 1.5.22 and have not changed Mootools so presume I have the correct version. I've now tried 4 different Rocket Theme templates, as well as Beez, JA_Purity, and RHUK Milkyway, on two different websites. It also makes no difference whether the module is on the home page or any other.

Url to one site is www.bristolhypnotherapy.net

I've also checked the config.php file as mentioned in another thread but that doesn't seem to apply

Does anyone have a solution to this issue as it seems a major obstacle to using what otherwise looks a very good option?

Thanks

F

Hi F,

If i understand correctly it works now?
We will make it more prominent in the next version that you must select at least email in the configuration.

Pete

Good grief--can I be any more of a Charlie Brown? Thanks to Pete, I hadn't realized I didn't select email in the module configuration. Wow.
