Community Builder management of Mailchimp was created by jakeknight
So I finally figured out how the community builder aspect of this thing works. I've created a couple of dopdown and checkbox fields in CB and mapped them the mailchimp as interest groups.
My problem now, is that I can't update my subscriptions. I can unsubscribe. But I can't change a checkbox or dropdown and have it update in mailchimp.
If I add a menu item to update my subscription, all I can see is the subscribe unsubscribe options. Nothing available for the interest groups.
I have selected in the plugin to show the interest fields and it just doesn't show up.
I saw something about the template affecting this. This is a hand built template and I don't know what could possibly change the behavior. Any insight would be great.

Hello jakeknight,
Please excuse the late response. Does the "subscribe to the newsletter" check box show up on your CB registration page after you enable the registration plugin?
Actually it should show up there if there is no incompatibility with your CB theme. The subscribe check box, the fields and the interests that you select in the plugin config should show up on the registration form and on the edit profile page. When a user signs up or edits his profile he will either be added to the list or updated as long as the newsletter checkbox is selected.
If it doesn't show up please send me a link to your signup form. I will take a look at it and, if needed, let you know what has to be changed.
Kind regards,
Pete

Hi Pete,
Thanks for the reply. This has been a confusing process thus far.
As per your reply, yes the subscribe to newsletter feature does show up on the reg page AND the CB profile page. However, the behavior I believe I am expecting, is to see the interest fields and name fields (selected from the plugin) to appear when the subscribe button is checked. These do not.
The cb fields that are mapped to the newsletter are published from CB in the registration, and do work properly to add the user to those interest groups, however they are not available for updating the subscription once a user has made a selection.
Thanks for your time and support on what I am anticipating will be a great feature.
